Hollywood and Brazilian waxing

Brazilian and Hollywood waxes are really becoming popular in the UK right now. This waxing method was originally named after the Brazilian women who wanted to remove pubic hair which peeped out of the sides of their skimpy bikinis. Basically it involves the removal of all of the pubic hair including that on the outer labia and the perineum (that area between the vagina and the anus. With a Brazilian a thin "landing-strip" of hair is left down the middle of the pubis mons, but in a Hollywood every bit of hair disappears! There are other waxes which have different properties such as the Las Vegas where all the hair is removed and jewel transfers are applied to the bare skin or a Californian in which the strip of remaining hair is dyed different colours. Special wax is used which adheres to the hair and not the skin. Although the treatments is initially moderately painful, this very quickly wears off. Clients have been known to take a pain-killer before attending their appointments. There may be some redness of the area just treated, but again this disappears quite quickly. After care is fairly commonsense in as much as the area should not be exposed to sun-beds etc and highly perfumed products should not be used for approx 24 hours following the waxing. |
